Banana Beach is also a favorite spot for the surfing community, thanks to its consistent waves and laid-back vibe.

One of the most exciting seasonal events is the annual sardine run — a spectacular natural phenomenon. It’s not uncommon to see shoals of sardines being netted right off Banana Beach, with nearby Pumula offering front-row views as well.

During the winter months, the ocean comes alive with spectacular sightings of whales and dolphins, often passing just beyond the breakers. It’s a breathtaking experience that draws nature lovers and photographers to our shores year after year.
